Our current work consists of three main funding opportunities: Commercial Tobacco Equity Initiative, Food Justice Funding Initiative, Food Sovereignty Funding, and Health POWER. To learn more about each of these initiatives read and click through below. For more information on our past work, click through the resources in the sidebar.
The Commercial Tobacco Equity Funding Initiative is designed to advance policies that impact communities disproportionately affected by commercial tobacco. Funded projects will support and advance systems and environmental changes in communities most targeted by the tobacco industry. This initiative collaborates with both organizations and Tribal Nations to continue moving toward our shared goal of eliminating access to and use of commercial tobacco in Minnesota.
The Food Justice Funding Initiative is a multi-year initiative, designed to advance food justice by ensuring access to healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant foods without barriers. Funded projects reflect community-led strategies to address food insecurity and support Black, Indigenous, Latine, Asian Pacific Islanders, and people of color (BIPOC) leaders in creating equitable change to local food systems.
Food Sovereignty Funding is designed to support Tribal Nations and Indigenous-led organizations in strengthening self-determination over community food systems and increase access to and consumption of Indigenous foods.
Health POWER (People Organizing and Working for Equitable Results) is a multi-year funding initiative to strengthen leadership development, invest in community-led solutions, and create collaborations to support positive changes in the Center’s goal of advancing health equity in commercial tobacco control, healthy eating, and physical activity. » Learn More
