Our History

The State of the Plate conference leverages Minnesota’s unique position as a leader in both health care and agriculture to show the connections between food, farm and health policies. The one-day event includes speakers from the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Center’s focus expands to include funding work in the early childhood and K–12 arenas. Today the Center supports Farm to School and Farm to Head Start programs, as well as a pilot project that studies the connections between health and learning.
